Granny Kali is a digital novella by Rowan le Fay

A fantasy story.

Savita Chandra is not like the other elderly ladies. She is in fact the Goddess Kali. But now she had retired from her role as a goddess and is living in the London town of Croydon, spending most of her days looking after her grandchildren. When the town council threatens to close her community centre, Savita makes it her mission to ensure that doesn’t happen. But will she have to take up her swords and become the mighty Kali once more to fight of sinister forces? Perhaps, if there is time, after she has finished making a fresh batch of her famous samosas, which taste heavenly.

*Disclaimer: Readers pleased be advised that this story mentions offensive racial slurs in the dialogue. This was done to highlight the ugliness of racism and intolerance that many people are still faced with, even to this day. The writer condemns ignorant and hateful use of the foul word mentioned in this novella. They feel that it was important to include it in the context of the story to show how the word is so hurtful.
